MODEX 2022 | ProMat 2023
KNAPP, a leading manufacturer of warehouse automation systems and software, wanted to demonstrate the flexibility of their systems. For their impressive booths at MODEX in Atlanta and ProMat in Chicago, we created three different interactive "table" installations — a "zero-touch" e-commerce fulfillment center, a central distribution warehouse, and a flexible pharmacy fulfillment solution. We placed 3D-printed machine and system models on top of large 98" displays. Each model was illuminated using custom-made, battery-operated, LED light units that were triggered on and off using photosensors. The photosensors detected luminance from the display below, insuring that their control was completely in-sync with the graphics presented on the monitors. Each installation featured a large iPad Pro mounted in front for user control. All three tables and their associated displays were networked together and became part of a presentation that was given to the gathered crowds every 30 minutes throughout the shows.
